ARE YOU OF A LEGAL DRINKING AGE IN YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE?
Single malts from the highlands take on many shapes and forms. Because the region is so vast, it isn't easy to make sweeping statements, and the whiskies are further divided into four subregions.
Named after cardinal compass points, the subregions are:
North - known for big-bodied whiskies with cereal sweetness and richness.
South - usually producing lighter and fruiter malts with a dry finish.
East - known for spicy, bold, full-bodied flavours with notes of fruit.
West - home to strong, full-bodied malts with peaty overtones.
