Gordon & Macphail began as a grocer in 1895 in Elgin. They stocked marvellous products from all over the world, but being in the heart of the Speyside region of Scotland, their shop could not miss out on fine whiskies. Blending teas, spices, and whisky was part of many grocers' jobs, and it did not differ for the original Gordon & Macphail shop.
Since then, many things have changed for this independent bottler, but one thing has stayed the same—it remains an independent, family-run business.
