Blair Athol 11 Years Old 2011

This single malt whisky was distilled in 2011 at the Blair Athol Distillery, located in Pitlochry in the Highland region of Scotland. It was aged for 11 years in the finest Refill Hogshead, producing complex and smooth whisky. It was bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. 

Only 305 bottles were produced.

Nose

Very fresh with a surprising note of sloe berry. A touch of honey syrup, sweet green grapes, a hint of blue cheese and lilies.

Palate

This is a delight! Cool, syrupy lightly spicy, with a big mouth feel, coating everything with a wonderful spicy butter. So much more this you would ever expect from a refill bourbon cask. A true cornucopia of flavours.

Finish

Bright, soft, clean and wonderful. An unending theatre of honey, heat and light bitterness that lasts longer than it has any right to.
