Aberlour 12 Years Old Warehouse Reserve

This single-cask release from Woodrow's of Edinburgh was distilled in October 2011 at the Aberlour Distillery, located in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was aged in a refill bourbon barrel for 12 years. 


This citrusy malt with notes of shortbread and citrus zest was bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh for their Warehouse Reserve collection without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. 


Only 219 bottles were produced. 

Nose

Sweet aromas of toffee-apples, vanilla custard, nutmeg and white chocolate.

Palate

Fairly creamy with notes of citrus zest, green apple, honey, all-butter shortbread and cinnamon.

Finish

Moderately spiced with white pepper and star anise, and underlying tones of caramelised pear, hazelnuts and continuing vanilla.
