Alistair Walker
ABV: 53.6% 70 cL
Distilled in 1998 at an undisclosed Speyside distillery, this single malt has been matured for 27 years, including a final 4 years and 11 months of finishing in a single Chinquapin oak barrel. The result is a richly developed whisky with layers of honeycomb sweetness, demerara sugar depth, and a gentle peppery spice on the finish.
Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial coloruing by Alistair Walker for his |infrequent Flyers Collection.
Heavy aroma of banana fritters in honey, with notes of marzipan.
Viscous. Rich honeycomb and Demerara sugar. An underlying spicy note - nutmeg, pepper. Everything is quite amplified, and weighty, a result of the Chinquapin influence.
Tax included.
