Finn Thomson
ABV: 55.9% 70 cL
Tomatin 15 Years Old single malt Scotch whisky, distilled 16th September 2011 and bottled on 17th September 2026 after an 18-month finish in a cask that held Vin de Constance, the sweet South African wine famed as Napoleon's favourite drink during his exile on Saint Helena.
Finn Thomson's second Vin de Constance release, and the extra time in the cask makes a remarkable difference. It drinks like a boozy raspberry jam: rich mixed berries and summer fruits over Tomatin's underlying maltiness, with the wine's sweetness beautifully integrated into a full-bodied, fruit-forward dram. Bottled by Finn Thomson Whisky as part of the Private Cask Collection at natural cask strength. Limited to 286 bottles.
Tax included.

Tomatin Distillery, established in 1897 in the Monadhliath Mountains south of Inverness, is known for its gentle, fruity Highland style and its long history as one of Scotland’s largest malt producers. Using soft local water, long fermentations, and tall stills, Tomatin creates a smooth, approachable spirit with notes of apple, pear, honey, and light malt. Over the last decade, the distillery has shifted toward crafting more characterful single malts, often matured in a mix of bourbon, sherry, and wine casks that add depth while keeping the whisky’s easygoing Highland nature intact. Set in a remote, peaceful landscape, Tomatin blends scale with a quietly thoughtful approach to flavour.
