Berry Bros. & Rudd
ABV: 56.8% 70 cL
Founded in 2002, Teerenpeli is one of Finland's and indeed the Nordics' oldest malt whisky distilleries. Utilising the company's fermentation expertise from their existing brewery and subsequently winning IWSC Worldwide Whisky Producer 2020, Teerenpeli distils in traditional Scottish pot stills using Finnish malted barley.
Distilled in 2014 and matured for 11 years in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead, this single malt is rich, warming, and wonderfully inviting. The nose opens with treacle and muscovado sugar, followed by hints of polished oak and festive Christmas pudding packed with dates and spice. On the palate, dark chocolate adds a lovely bittersweet richness, balancing the whisky’s sweeter notes. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving behind flavours of dried fruit, cocoa, and gentle oak spice.
Bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Berry Bros. & Rudd for their The Auld and the Bold Collection.
Tax included.
