Tamnavulin Distillery, opened in 1966 in the village of Tomnavoulin in Speyside, is known for producing a soft, approachable single malt geared toward easy drinking and blend-friendly character. Using modern production methods, long fermentations, and tall stills, it creates a light, creamy spirit with gentle notes of vanilla, toffee, orchard fruit, and malt sweetness. In recent years, Tamnavulin has become more visible as a single malt, often finished in sherry, red wine, or other casks to add richness and depth. Set beside the River Livet and surrounded by farmland, the distillery combines contemporary efficiency with a mellow, crowd-pleasing Speyside style.
