Strathmill 15 Years Old

ABV: 56% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled on the 29th of September 2010 at the Strathmill Distillery in the Speyside Region of Scotland. It was aged for 15 years, including a finishing period in a single Colombian Oak cask. This type of oak offers a balance between the richness and spices of the European oak and vanilla and the delicacy of American oak. The result is intense single malt with notes of tropical fruits, marzipan and butterscotch.

Strathmill Distillery, founded in 1891 in the Speyside town of Keith, is a quiet workhorse of the Scotch industry, best known for supplying its light, grassy spirit to blends. Originally a corn mill before its conversion, the distillery produces a delicate, subtly fruity whisky shaped by long fermentation, gentle distillation, and maturation largely in refill bourbon casks. The resulting style leans toward soft vanilla, cereal sweetness, fresh orchard notes, and a clean herbal edge. Though rarely seen as a single malt outside occasional independent bottlings or its Flora and Fauna release, Strathmill has a loyal niche following for its understated, classic Speyside elegance.
