This single grain was distilled in 1987 at the Strathclyde Distillery in the heart of Glasgow. It was matured for 34 years in two refill bourbon hogsheads before re-racking into two 2nd fill Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks, which previously held a peated malt for the final 3 years. This unique maturation produced notes of sweet vanilla, toasted cereal, and fruit, with a hint of smoke.
Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Murray McDavid for their Misson Gold Collection.
