Nose

Coconut, marzipan, jammy dodgers, white chocolate, wood, vanilla, flapjack, clear honey, and cinnamon weetabix.

Palate

Peanuts, cream soda, ripe bananas, green apples and very ripe pears.

Finish

Incredibly nutty! Icing sugar, peppermint creams, tingling wood spices and well integrated oak.

Strathclyde, built in 1927 on the south bank of the River Clyde in Glasgow, is a large grain distillery dedicated to producing light, clean spirit for blended Scotch. Using continuous column stills, it creates a smooth, neutral grain whisky that forms the backbone of many well-known blends. Although rarely bottled as a single grain, independent releases show a gentle style with notes of vanilla, soft fruit, and light caramel. Industrial in scale and quietly essential, Strathclyde remains one of Scotland’s key grain whisky producers.
