Dark Briar is a bold and indulgent addition to Lochlea’s new core range. Inspired by the Fallow Edition, this rich single malt is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso sherry butts, and Port casks, delivering layers of juicy red fruits, ginger cake, and velvety
baking spice.

Bottled at 46% ABV, at natural colour and no chill filtration.

Nose

Rich and sweet, red fruit, pic’n’mix sweets, with a touch of vanilla caramel, and fresh baking spices.

Palate

Big, bold and juicy, with lots of cherries and sweet, sticky plums, warming tannins & ginger cake.

Finish

Long and rich, with velvety tannins, and baking spice.

Lochlea produces a Lowland-style single malt known for its smooth, approachable character, with flavours of apple, pear, cereal, and gentle spice.
