Alistair Walker

Royal Brackla 17 Years Old Infrequent Flyers

ABV: 54.1% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled in 2006 at the Royal Brackla Distillery, located in the Highland Region of Scotland, and the first distillery to receive a Royal Warrant. It was aged in a single refill re-charged hogshead, resulting in well-balanced, soft and creamy malt with delicate nutmeg and ginger spice.

It was bottled by Alistair Walker at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, for his Infrequent Flyers collection.

Nose

Much going on. An immediate hit of benzaldehyde and toasted oak, which then settles down to sweet and salted popcorn, with a touch of rum and raisin fudge.

Palate

Soft and creamy. Coconut ice cream and some really mellow vanilla custard notes. There are some very nice spices present too, specifically nutmeg and ginger.
