This release from Morrison Distillers is the first in their annual series of limited editions from the Old Perth Range.
This blended malt is fully matured in casks that previously held Pedro Ximenez sherry, the sweetest style of sherry, which takes its name from a luxurious grape from Southern Spain, which is picked very ripe or sun-dried to concentrate the sugar and natural acidity of the wine. Maturation in a combination of PX hogsheads and butts gave this malt rich, full flavour and velvety texture.
