Octomore Single Malt Scotch Whisky explores the influence of terroir, cask management and experimental peat levels, pushing the boundaries of whisky making to their extremes. Single casks of this ilk are very rare and in high demand.

This Octomore Single Cask is matured and bottled exclusively on Islay and hand selected by the Master Blended Adam Hannett. The barley varietal, cask type, ABV, PPM and vintage , are specific to each cask, meaning this limited bottling cannot be repeated.

Nose

An immediate hit of BBQ smoke followed by ginger nut biscuits. Tropical fruits come to the fore before giving way to brown sugar, aniseed and ripe apple.

Palate

Toasted oak greets the palate. Then the softness of worn leather followed by iodine and balanced by praline and brown sugar. An assortment of dried fruits and candied citrus round off the tasting experience.

Finish

The oak brings sweetness and baking spiced before being joined by dry, earthy smoke that lingers on alongside a gentle herbal note.
