This single malt is a part of Lochlea's annual limited release. Each year brings a different expression of Red Wine, drawing on the casks believed to best complement the distillery’s style.

For the second release, the whisky was matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels before being finished in carefully selected Sangiovese casks, adding a distinctive red-wine influence to the final expression. The result is a sweet, velvety whisky with hints of honey and gentle spice, finishing with ripe red berry and moreish nutty notes. This release continues the range with a deeper, more expressive take on the Red Wine Cask style, setting the pace for a vibrant and evolving collection still to come.
