Lochlea 5 Years Old

ABV: 58.7% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled in 2019 at the Lochlea Distillery near Kilmarnock in the Lowland Region of Scotland. It was aged for 5 years in a single bourbon barrel, creating floral and fruity malt notes of grapefruit, sherbet and custard cream biscuits, followed by a hint of nutmeg.

It was bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Cadenhead's. It is their very first bottling from this distillery. 

Nose

Grapefruit, sherbet, biscuit, vanilla, poached pears, banana.

Palate

Soda bread, tinned peaches, gooseberry, custard creams.

Finish

Spice, nutmeg, honey nut coated cereal, toasted oak.
