Murray McDavid

Loch Lomond 28 Year Old 1996 Mission Gold

ABV: 51.2% 70 cL

This single grain comes from the Loch Lomond Distillery - one of the most unique distilleries in Scotland. Not only do they produce many different styles of whisky under one roof, but their single grain is created using malted barley, rather than wheat or corn, which is typically used for grain whiskies. As a result, the single grain from Loch Lomond is more complex.

Distilled in 1996 and aged for 28 years, including a finishing period of five years in a Sauternes cask, which lent delicate, floral flavours to this incredible whisky.

Bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Murray McDavid for their Mission Gold Collection.

Nose

Floral honey, glazed peach, and citrus.

Palate

Candied lemon, creamy, and tropical fruit.

Finish

Ginger, vanilla cream, and sweet spices.
