Loch Lomond, established in 1965 near Alexandria in the southern Highlands, is one of Scotland’s most versatile and technically distinctive distilleries. It uses a mix of traditional pot stills, unusual straight-neck pot stills, and continuous stills, allowing it to create a wide range of spirit styles under one roof. This flexibility results in whiskies that can be fruity, floral, lightly smoky, or richly spiced, often showing notes of orchard fruit, malt sweetness, and gentle wood influence. Known for innovation and variety, Loch Lomond has built a reputation for characterful malts shaped by its unique still designs and broad creative range.
