Linkwood 14 Years Old 2010 Pintail

ABV: 52.2% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled in 2010 at the Linkwood Distillery, located in Elgin in the heart of the Speyside region. It was matured for many years in a refill ex-bourbon hogshead and then re-racked into a French oak barrique, which previously held the creamy-sweet French white dessert wine, Loupiac. The resulting whisky carries notes of candied citrus peel, honeyed apricots, tropical fruits, liquorice toffee, spite melon, white pepper and oak spice.

Nose

Floral and intensely fruity – acacia bloom, canned fruits in syrup.

Palate

Ripe peach, sprite melon, plum jam, candied citrus peel, dark honey and dried apricots. Finish: Liquorice toffee, figs, white pepper and oak spice.
