Distilled in 2015 at Linkwood, just outside Elgin in Speyside, this single malt comes from a distillery known for a light, floral and fruity spirit.

Selected and bottled by Adelphi Selection, it was matured for eleven years in a single refill Oloroso sherry hogshead.

Oloroso is a rich, dry sherry from Jerez in southern Spain, aged oxidatively to develop nutty, dried-fruit flavours. A hogshead holds around 250 litres, and a refill cask has already matured Scotch before, so it brings a more restrained sherry influence than a first fill.

Linkwood's delicate spirit and a refill sherry hogshead are a classic combination, adding a touch of richness while keeping the distillery's elegant style front and centre.

Bottled at 11 years old from cask #304423, presented at natural cask strength, natural colour and no chill filtration.
