Lindores Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky THIRON 2025 is the second in a series of annual releases that celebrate the centuries-old ties to the French village of Thiron-Gardais where the Tironesian monks came from who laid down the spiritual foundations of Scotch Whisky. Thiron 2025 has been matured in a combination of Tironesian Virgin oak casks, Bourbon casks and red wine Barriques of exceptional quality where this 2025 edition has a stronger influence of the Virgin oak with older casks and an addition of re-racked casks filled with the original first batch of Thiron developing a unique profile. This Lindores Single Malt is bottled at the distillery at 49.4% ABV, at natural colour and no chill filtration. 

Nose

Mellow dates, berry jam, hazelnuts and sweet cinnamon.

Palate

Mellow vanilla ice cream, fruity raspberries followed by fresh pastry covered with vibrant spices, golden syrup and layers of roasted hazelnuts playing with pleasant woody notes. Well balanced and complex with an incredible silky texture.

Finish

Long lasting finish.

Situated in Newburgh, Fife, Lindores Abbey Distillery stands on the historic site where Scotch whisky was first recorded in 1494. Revived in 2017, it combines tradition and innovation, using local Fife barley and water from the original spring. The distillery produces a smooth, fruity Lowland-style single malt and an herbal aqua vitae spirit, celebrating over five centuries of whisky heritage at the “spiritual home of Scotch whisky.”
