Lindores Abbey Distillery

Lindores MCDXCIV (1494)

ABV: 46% 70 cL

Lindores Abbey is officially recognised as the first recorded site of distillation of Scotch whisky, which took place in 1494. After over 500 years, they are ready to be a part of the history of whisky once more, starting with their first single malt release.

This core range single malt was created by combining bourbon, sherry and shaved toasted and re-charred wine casks, creating smooth, sweet malt with notes of dried fruits, citrus and mellow vanilla.

Nose

Elegant, soft, mellow vanilla, caramel notes playing with orchard fruits and sweet pear drops. Reminiscent of toffee apples.

Palate

Smooth with a creamy texture and a perfect balance of mellow vanilla, dried fruits, and citrus touches with a hint of spice.

Finish

Medium length, delicate but lingering finish.
