Lindores Abbey Distillery

Lindores MCDXCIV (1494)

ABV: 46% 70 cL

Lindores Abbey is officially recognised as the first recorded site of Scotch whisky distillation, dating back to 1494.

This core range single malt is crafted by maturing the spirit in a blend of bourbon, sherry, and shaved, toasted, and re-charred wine casks. The result is a smooth, sweet malt with inviting notes of dried fruits, citrus, and mellow vanilla.

Nose

Elegant, soft, mellow vanilla, caramel notes playing with orchard fruits and sweet pear drops. Reminiscent of toffee apples.

Palate

Smooth with a creamy texture and a perfect balance of mellow vanilla, dried fruits, and citrus touches with a hint of spice.

Finish

Medium length, delicate but lingering finish.
