Gleann Mòr Spirits

Laphroaig 14 Years Old Rare Find

ABV: 56.2% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled in 2011 at the Laphroaig Distillery on the picturesque Isle of Islay. The classic peated malt was aged for 14 years and finished in a single 1st fill oloroso sherry hogshead from Bodegas Barbadillo, which beautifully complements the whisky’s robust island character.

Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Gleann Mòr for their Rare Find Collection.

Nose

Immediately medicinal, led by iodine, brine and driftwood, with camphor, rock pools, preserved lemon and sea spray.

Palate

Perfectly rounded, with medicinal peat smoke, sea spray, layered iodine and coastal rock pool salinity alongside dried berries and beach bonfire embers

Finish

Long and evolving, fading from medicinal smoke into sweet fruit and coastal stone.

Founded in 1815 on the southern coast of Islay, Scotland, Laphroaig is world-famous for its intensely peated single malt whisky. Known for bold flavours of smoke, iodine, and sea salt, it remains one of the most distinctive Scotch whiskies. Using water from the Kilbride Stream and peat cut from local bogs, Laphroaig still operates traditional floor maltings. Its signature 10 Year Old, along with expressions like Quarter Cask and Lore, reflect the distillery’s rugged coastal heritage and uncompromising Islay character.
