Distilled in 2016 at Laphroaig, on the south coast of Islay near Port Ellen, this single malt comes from one of the island's most distinctive distilleries, known for a bold, peaty and maritime spirit with a famously medicinal edge.

Bottled by Signatory Vintage for their Un-Chillfiltered Collection, this release was matured in 1st fill bourbon barrels for 10 years.

Bourbon barrels are made from new American white oak and used once for bourbon before coming to Scotland. A first fill barrel is on its first use for Scotch, so it gives the strongest oak influence, adding sweetness while letting the spirit's character come through clearly.

Laphroaig and first fill bourbon wood are a classic pairing: the oak's sweetness balances the distillery's powerful peat smoke, giving an independent bottling that shows the spirit at its most direct.

Aged 10 years, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2026. Bottled at natural colour and no chill filtration.
