ABV: 54.7% 70 cL
The name "Kilwhang" is rooted in Stonehaven's heritage, an old nickname for the town that reflects the deep local connection. It embodies tradition and a genuine nod to the community where the whisky is born.
This single malt from Inchgower Distillery in the Speyside region was distilled on the 14th April 2011 and aged for 14 years in ex-Bourbon hogshead.
It was bottled by Kilwhang in July 2025, at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.
Bright and clean with honeyed malt, lemon peel and buttery shortbread, followed by green apples and a whiff of fresh cut hay.
Orchard fruits up front - pear, white grape and a touch of banana - before things warm up with vanilla pods, toasted oats and a flicker of cracked black pepper.
Medium-long. Drying gently with citrus zest, faint almond and a lingering echo od sweet malt.
Tax included.

Inchgower Distillery, founded in 1871 in Buckie, Speyside, produces smooth and rich single malt whisky known for its delicate fruit and honey notes with a subtle hint of spice. Primarily supplying whisky for blends like Bell’s, Inchgower also releases limited single malt bottlings. With a long history rooted in the Distillers Company Limited, it now operates under Diageo but remains a relatively low-profile gem. Using traditional copper pot stills and pure local spring water, Inchgower crafts a balanced and approachable spirit.
