A Highland Park from the late 80’s. Great distillate filled into a great cask and left to combine for over 33 years. The result is a masterpiece. 

Distilled in 1989 and matured in Bourbon hogshead #3004 before bottling in 2023. Bottled at 49.1% ABV, at natural colour and no chill filtration. Limited to 166 bottles.

Nose

Brown sugar, toffee and salted pretzels with fruity notes and vanilla pods.

Palate

Initially peppery on the tongue, but the fruit then comes through. Tropical fruits, heather honey, and a gentle wave of light peat smoke. Rich and oily mouthfeel.

Finish

Medium-long with cinnamon and nutmeg spice, which slowly fade away. Citrus then comes to the fore for a satisfying conclusion.
