Adelphi Selection
ABV: 58.3% 70 cL
Distilled in 2018 at the Isle of Harris Distillery in Tarbert, in the Outer Hebrides, this single malt comes from one of Scotland's island producers, whose spirit carries a fresh, coastal and maritime character.
Selected and bottled by Adelphi Selection, it spent eight years maturing in a single first fill bourbon American Standard Barrel.
An American Standard Barrel is the 200-litre white oak cask used to age bourbon in the United States. On its first fill with Scotch the oak is still very active, typically adding vanilla, sweetness and a touch of spice.
Independent single casks from Harris are still rare, and this one is a chance to taste the island's spirit at full strength, framed by fresh American oak.
Bottled at 8 years old from cask #1001364, presented at natural cask strength, natural colour and no chill filtration.

Harris is a community distillery that works closely with people and businesses on the Island. The idea to open a distillery in Harris was sparked to combat the declining population, create opportunities for young people, and bring tourism to the Island. The construction began in the spring of 2014, and the distillery opened its doors a year later. They became famous for their sugar kelp gin, known for its unique flavour and beautiful bottle design, while awaiting their first single malt whisky. In 2023, the long wait was over, and their first single malt was released. Named Hearach, which is a name for someone living on the Island, the whisky was a lightly peated malt with bourbon and sherry cask influences.
