Glentauchers 14 Years Old 2010 Benchmark

ABV: 52.1% 70 cL

Built in 1897, Glentauchers Distillery produces a gentle single malt with an elegant, light and fruity character; one of Speyside’s best kept secrets. Matured for its final three years in lusciously sweet wine casks, this fruity Speyside single malt has sumptuously united with the delicacies of the exotic Hungarian wine, delivering a majestic mouthfeel and captivatingly intricate flavours – excellence in the art of Scotch whisky maturation.

Glentauchers Distillery, established in 1897 near Keith in Speyside, is a hidden gem known for producing light, smooth single malt whisky with delicate fruity and floral flavours. While it plays a key role in popular blends like Chivas Regal, Glentauchers occasionally releases sought-after single malts, often through independent bottlers. The distillery uses traditional copper pot stills and draws water from the nearby Conval Hills, contributing to its fresh and clean character. Now owned by Pernod Ricard, Glentauchers combines over a century of heritage with modern whisky-making techniques, maintaining a low profile despite its important place in the whisky world.
