Glencadam 14 Years Old 2011 The Auld and the Bold

ABV: 57.8% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled in 2011 at the Glencadam Distillery, the only distillery in the Angus Area. It was aged for 14 years and drawn from a single Muscat Hogshead, creating an exuberant pour. The nose opens with tinned peaches, mango nectar, and apricot syrup, accompanied by lemon zest, vanilla pod and golden honey. On the palate, it's chewy and mouth-coating, with ripe stone fruits layered over soft toffee and a warming prickle of oak spice. Fresh and juicy throughout, it finishes with a satisfying echo of tropical fruit and sweet spice.

Bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Berry Bros. & Rudd for their The Auld and the Bold Collection.

Glencadam Distillery, based in Brechin, Angus, produces smooth and refined single malt whiskies celebrated for their tropical and orchard fruit flavors. This distinctive character is largely due to its unique distillation setup, featuring tall copper pot stills with specially designed lyne arms that encourage increased reflux, resulting in a lighter, fruitier spirit.
