Glenburgie 30 Years Old

ABV: 49.7% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled on the 20th of June 1995 at the Glenburgie Distillery in Alves, in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was aged for 30 years in a single refill ex-bourbon hogshead, creating zingy, yet sweet malt with complexity and depth. 

It was bottled at natural cask strength without chill filtration or artificial colouring by Fragrant Drops. Rachel and George, the owners of the bottling company, used parts of this cask as their wedding favours, and the label features their beloved cat, along with glasses worn on the big day. 

 

Nose

Palmaviolets, rose water, grapefruit, cinnamon, sweet apple juice, white chocolate, shortbread, pear stalks, spearmint, mango ice cream and crème brûlée.

Palate

Zingy lemon plus the peel, mashed banana, honeydew melon, green apple, barley sugar, pear and milky weetabix.

Finish

Oranges, fruit salad sweeties, more green apple, syrup sponge, dried apricot, honeysuckle and kiwi
