Thompson Bros.
ABV: 53.7% 70 cL
This 17 years old from Glenburgie Distillery was filled on the 22nd January 2009, and is a marriage of three first-fill bourbon barrels, vatting that has truly created something special. The result is a wonderfully soft and texturally rich dram, full of incredibly vibrant fruit character and a beautifully integrated sweetness.
Bottled in February 2026 by Thompson Bros. at natural colour and no chill filtration.
Opens up with a bursting of juicy pineapple, papaya, and baked banana. Imagine a perfectly ripe field of yellow fruits, followed by some classic notes of creamy caramel, a touch of polish, and just enough ginger and cinnamon to bring the depth.
Mango, gooseberry, and a bit of praline, leading into mandarin and beeswax. A little passionfruit reminds us a lot of well-aged Cooley. The cask is completely in sync here, letting the beautiful, fruity spirit shine.
Medium-long, with lime zest and crème brûlée adding a wonderful twist. Sweet, full of all those amazing yellow fruits, and incredibly satisfying.
Tax included.

Glenburgie Distillery is a Speyside whisky distillery in Moray, Scotland, known for producing light, fruity single malt whisky. Founded in the early 1800s, it mainly supplies whisky for blends like Ballantine’s but also releases some single malts through independent bottlers. Modernised in the 2000s, Glenburgie’s whisky is smooth with fresh fruit flavours and aged mostly in ex-bourbon casks.
