GlenAllachie Sinteis Series - Part 4

ABV: 58.5% 70 cL

The Sinteis Series introduces a bold chapter for The GlenAllachie — a forward-thinking addition to the award-winning portfolio. This collection explores the dynamic relationship between virgin oak and sherry casks, presenting a fresh perspective on whisky maturation.

Each release in the Sinteis Series explores the relationship between an unusual virgin oak and classic sherry casks. While the maturation journey differs from release to release, Billy Walker carefully orchestrates each combination to create a harmonious synthesis of flavour. The result is a collection that celebrates both innovation and tradition through exceptional wood management.

Unlike previous Sinteis releases, this expression takes a slightly different approach. Rather than combining two separately matured whiskies, the whisky spent time in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry casks before being transferred to rare Mongolian virgin oak. Renowned for its exceptionally tight grain and elegant spice, the result is a beautifully layered whisky with notes of dark chocolate, baked orchard fruits and warm pastries.

Bottled at natural cask strength, natural colour and no chill filtration.

Glenallachie Distillery was founded in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson. It was the fourth distillery designed by William Delmé-Evans, the architect behind Macduff, Tullibardine and Jura. For many years, malt produced at Glenallachie was mainly used for blends, including as a part of Chivas Regal, with rare single malt releases. In 2017, it was purchased from the Chivas Bros. by Billie Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson. Shortly after, in 2019, Glenallachie won the Distillery of the Year, and many more awards followed, both for the Distillery and its bottlings.
Glenallachie is known for its rich, fruity, sherry cask-aged single malts and incredible blends.
