Glenallachie Distillery was founded in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson. It was the fourth distillery designed by William Delmé-Evans, the architect behind Macduff, Tullibardine and Jura. For many years, malt produced at Glenallachie was mainly used for blends, including as a part of Chivas Regal, with rare single malt releases. In 2017, it was purchased from the Chivas Bros. by Billie Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson. Shortly after, in 2019, Glenallachie won the Distillery of the Year, and many more awards followed, both for the Distillery and its bottlings.
Glenallachie is known for its rich, fruity, sherry cask-aged single malts and incredible blends.
