This fruity single malt is from Glen Spey - the smallest and least known distillery in the Speyside region. This rounded malt has been produced from a long fermentation, producing an oily and nutty style. The combination of this rich spirit with authentic sherry oak has produced and indulgent style of whisky to enjoy.

Bottled in 2023 by Murray McDavid for their Benchmark collection, at natural cask strength, natural colour and no chill filtration. Limited to 181 bottles.

Glen Spey - one of the hidden gems of Speyside started its life in 1878, when James Stuart added distillery equipment to his oatmeal mill. Without a doubt, venturing into whisky came on the back of the late Victorian whisky boom and the arrival of the railway.
For most of its history, Glen Spey’s whisky has been used primarily for blending, and it wasn’t until 2001 that it saw its first official single malt release, when Diageo included it in their Flora & Fauna Collection. Today, Glen Spey remains a key component in J&B blends. Official single malt releases are extremely rare, but the distillery’s light, nutty spirit can still be found in collections from independent bottlers. Throughout its life, liquid from the Glen Spey was mainly used for blending; it had not, in fact, seen an official single malt release until 2001, when Diageo added the malt to its Flora & Fauna Collection.
