Glen Scotia Distillery is one of the last surviving whisky distilleries in Campbeltown, a region once known as the "whisky capital of the world." Established in 1832, Glen Scotia has witnessed the dramatic rise, decline, and revival of Campbeltown whisky over nearly two centuries. Despite numerous closures and changes in ownership, the distillery has retained much of its original character and traditional methods.Today, Glen Scotia is celebrated for its distinctive coastal style, often described as briny, oily, and lightly peated, with a subtle maritime influence that reflects its seaside location.
