Thompson Bros.

Glen Scotia 10 Years Old

ABV: 55.2% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled in 2015 at the Glen Scotia Distillery in the Campbeltown on the Kintyre Peninsula. It was aged for 10 years in a single refill barrel, creating a creamy malt with hint of maltiness, soot and maritime character.

Bottled by Thompson Bros. without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.

Nose

Salted butterscotch, preserved lemons, ginger tea, elderflower and apricot jam. Touches of mace and/or cloves, lots of coastal mineralogy and the smallest hint of chimney soot.

Palate

The salty-creamy flavour continues, with a hint of maltiness that is almost caramelised. More minerals - salt and slate. A very nice mouthfeel with fruits, soot and citrus peel.

Finish

Long and salty - the malt and citrus give lots of length.
