Alistair Walker
ABV: 56.9% 70 cL
This single malt was distilled in 2011 at the Glen Moray Distillery, known for its light and fruity Speyside spirit. It was matured for 14 years, including a finishing period of 6 years and 11 months in a single Ruby Port Pipe, creating a rich, dessert-style malt with notes of muscovado sugar, figs and apricots.
It was bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, by Alistair Walker.
Tangy fruits - peaches, blood orange, and a hint of lime. Underpinned by dark chocolate-coated nuts.
This is really rich, dessert-style, and feels rather indulgent. Thick buckwheat honey and muscovado sugar, with abundant figs and apricots. Tremendous wood influence here.
Tax included.

The history of Glen Moray begins in 1897, when the Elgin West Brewery—formerly supplying the local community with ales—was converted into a whisky distillery. From the outset, Glen Moray took a distinctive approach by maturing its spirit in a wide variety of casks, an uncommon practice at the time. Like many distilleries, it fell victim to the whisky slump of the early 20th century and was forced to close between the 1910s and 1920s.
Today, Glen Moray is celebrated for its soft, approachable character, experimental cask finishes, and an affordable core range.
