Glen Garioch Distillery was officially founded in 1797, although there are claims it may have been active even earlier. Like many other distilleries, Glen Garioch has changed hands multiple times over the years and has endured periods of mothballing, shifts in style, and numerous renovations. Today, this Highland gem—nestled in the heart of Oldmeldrum village in Aberdeenshire—is known for producing fruity whiskies with a distinctive touch of spice.
