A single malt from Glen Elgin distillery. Distilled on the 29th September 2009 and aged in refill hogshead before it was re-racked into first fill Bordeaux Red Wine hogshead before bottling on the 5th March 2025.

Bottled at natural cask strength of 61.3% ABV, at natural colour and no chill filtration. Limited to 241 bottles.

Nose

Both earthy and fruity; raspberries, black cherries and a fragrant floral bouquet.

Palate

Oily in texture with tannic leather, truffle and coffee balanced by tart summer red berries, figs and heather.

Finish

Medium finish of tannins, cloves and liquorice.

Glen Elgin Distillery was founded in 1898, making it one of the last—if not the last—distilleries established during Scotland’s whisky boom of the late 19th century. As whisky sales declined in the early 20th century, Glen Elgin experienced several closures and changes in ownership. In 1929, it became part of the Distillers Company Limited (DCL), which later evolved into what is now Diageo.
Renowned for its fruity and complex character, Glen Elgin single malt is a favourite among both blenders and independent bottlers. Though often found in blends, its unique profile shines as a single malt, offering a classic example of Speyside elegance.
