Lady of the Glen

Glen Elgin 14 Years Old Tawny Port Finish Lady of the Glen

70 cL

Distilled on 4th July 2012 at Glen Elgin, just south of Elgin in Speyside, a distillery known for its fruity, honeyed spirit.

The Ghost Train of Dunphail is part of Lady of the Glen's limited range illustrated with Scottish myths and legends. The label tells of a phantom locomotive seen near Dunphail Railway Station, racing along the line in light and smoke when no train was scheduled, before vanishing into the night. The whisky was finished in a Tawny Port cask, a wood-aged, nutty style of port from the Douro Valley.

Bottled at 14 years old on 13th July 2026.

Glen Elgin Distillery was founded in 1898, making it one of the last—if not the last—distilleries established during Scotland’s whisky boom of the late 19th century. As whisky sales declined in the early 20th century, Glen Elgin experienced several closures and changes in ownership. In 1929, it became part of the Distillers Company Limited (DCL), which later evolved into what is now Diageo.
Renowned for its fruity and complex character, Glen Elgin single malt is a favourite among both blenders and independent bottlers. Though often found in blends, its unique profile shines as a single malt, offering a classic example of Speyside elegance.
