Glasgow Distillery 1770 Triple Distilled

ABV: 46% 70 cL

Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Triple Distilled, is a smooth and vibrant whisky with outstanding character. This single malt combines the finest concerto malted barley with the incredibly pure water of Loch Katrine and is fermented for over 72 hours before being distilled painstakingly slowly in traditional copper pot stills three times.

The additional third distillation removes heavier oiler compounds from the spirit so only the lightest and purest spirit is collected to make this incredibly light and smooth whisky. The resulting new make spirit is wonderfully fruity and bright and is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and virgin American oak casks which are married together before bottling. Non-chill filtered, natural in colour and bottled at 46% ABV.

Nose

The nose opens up to sweet vanilla and white chocolate leading to fresh summer fruits of aromatic apple, pear and peaches.

Palate

The palate is well balanced and smooth with vibrant vanilla, soft caramel and double cream opening up to succulent orchard fruits and berries followed by delicate floral notes alongside a sweet almond nuttiness.

Finish

The finish is long and lingering with notes of rich honey, anise and black pepper and hints of warming woody spice.
