Glasgow 1770 Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask Finish AWS Exclusive

ABV: 58% 70 cL

Distilled in March 2018 at The Glasgow Distillery, right in the heart of Scotland’s largest city in the Lowland region, this is an unpeated single malt that shows off the distillery’s signature house style: fresh, fruity and full of character, built on long fermentations and slow, patient distillation in copper pot stills.

The spirit was filled on 8th March 2018 into virgin American white oak, where it spent 6 years and 2 months picking up the generous vanilla, toffee and spice that fresh, never-before-used oak delivers. It was then re-racked into a single Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead from the renowned bodega Ximénez-Spínola for a further 2 years and 3 months, a cask we selected to create something truly special for our customers.

Together, the bold virgin oak and the PX hogshead have created a rich and fruity single malt, layering deep sherried sweetness over the vibrant Glasgow spirit. Expect notes of rich dark fruit, toffee and orange, with a warming kick of black pepper spice. A dram that’s generous, indulgent and full of flavour - one that won us over straight away.

Aged 8 years and bottled on 1st September 2026, it is presented at natural cask strength of 58% ABV, natural colour and no chill filtration. Strictly limited to just 84 bottles, available only from Aberdeen Whisky Shop.
