Woodrow's of Edinburgh
ABV: 58.7% 70 cL
This single malt was distilled on the 26th of March 2008 at the Dailuaine Distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was aged for 17 years, starting the maturation in a refill hogshead, before being re-racked into a second-fill ex-Mortlach oloroso sherry hogshead for finishing.
It was bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Woodrow's of Edinburgh.
Rich, with honeyed apples, sultanas, and undertone of earthy barley and notes of cashew and forest floor.
Only and layered, revealing walnut, raisin and syrupy sweetness, lifted by bright orange zest and a hint of white pepper. A delicate savoury meaty note underpins the fruit.
Long finish, with spices star anise and tart red fruit notes lingering alongside.
Tax included.
