Dailuaine 16 Years Old 2008 Infrequent Flyers

ABV: 54.4% 70 cL

This Speyside single malt from Dailuaine distillery was distilled in May 2008 and it was fully matured in Pedro Ximénez hogshead before bottling in November 2024.

Nose

Initially floral and fruity - peaches and red plums. Then come the heavier notes - praline and Macadamia nuts.

Palate

Lush, dense and somewhat intense…. Ooh yeah, it's the mocha, man! PX to the fore, this dram clotheslines you with a flurry of dark chocolate, espresso coffee and brown sugar, followed by a forearm smash of raisins and sultanas. Off the top rope comes Madagascan vanilla, before closing with a figure four leg-lock of sweet spice, cloves and black pepper
