This single malt was distilled on the 5th of March 2012 at the Dailuaine Distillery, known for its heavy, rich Speyside malts. It was aged for 14 years, including a 14-month finishing period in a single fresh Muscat hogshead. 

Bottled by Fragrant Drops exclusively for Aberdeen Whisky Shop, at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. 

Nose

Candied sweetness, clarified butter and honeydew melon.

Palate

Exceptionally soft. Noted of fruitcake topped with icing sugar and candied orange peel, raisins and honey comb.

Finish

Medium and oily, with lingering sweetness.

Dailuaine Distillery was founded in 1852 by William MacKenzie near the village of Craigellachie in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was the first distillery to install a pagoda, which became a symbol of Scottish distilleries. Dailuaine is owned by Diageo and most of the produced liquid is used for blends, it is, however also a staple for independent bottlers. Amongst its fans, Dailuaine is known for its robust, full-bodied spirit with fruity, malty and spicy notes.
