Daftmill Distillery

Daftmill 15 Years Old Fife Strength 2026 Release

ABV: 56.3% 70 cL

A limited release from Fife's family-owned farm distillery - just 3,294 bottles. Distilled and filled between November 2010 and the end of January 2011, the whisky matured on the upper level of Warehouse 2 before being bottled in June 2026 at Daftmill's traditional cask strength. It draws on a selection of seventeen first fill ex-bourbon barrels. The barley variety Publican used for this release was grown in the 43-acre field and harvested by John and Sandy on the 28th and 29th of August 2009. After harvest, the barley was dried and stored on the farm before being malted in Alloa during the summer of 2010.

The casks add depth, sweetness and texture whilst allowing that unmistakable Daftmill freshness to shine through. Bottled at natural colour and no chill filtration.

Nose

Lemon meringue pie: fresh lemon zest and curd folded through sweet vanilla, with a gentle biscuit richness.

Palate

Rounder and indulgent, with caramel and soft vanilla alongside lively citrus fruit.

£150.00

Tax included.

Daftmill is a small, family-run farm distillery in Fife, established in 2005 but producing whisky in a deliberately traditional, low-volume way. Operated by the Cuthbert family, it distils only during the farm’s off-season, making it one of Scotland’s few true “farm-to-glass” distilleries. The spirit is classic Lowland in style — light, clean, and barley-forward — often showing gentle citrus, soft orchard fruit, and a crisp, malty sweetness. Releases are rare and limited, giving Daftmill a quiet cult following and a reputation for quietly superb, understated whisky.
