Woodrow's of Edinburgh

Cuban Rum 33 Years Old 1993 Barrel

ABV: 59.1% 70 cL

This rum was distilled in Cuba in 1993 and matured for 33 years, making it a rare chance to try a properly old Cuban rum.

It comes from the same distillery as Woodrow's of Edinburgh's much-requested 45-year-old rum, and shares a very similar flavour profile. Woodrow's bought the cask three years ago and waited patiently until they felt it was ready.

It was matured in a barrique, a cask of around 225 litres. Being smaller than a hogshead or butt, a barrique gives the spirit more contact with the wood, which over three decades builds deep, rich oak character.

Aged 33 years and bottled at 59.1% ABV.
