This single malt was distilled at the Craigellachie Distillery, known for its robust Speyside style malt. It was matured for 12 years in first-fill sherry hogsheads. The resulting malt is rich and sweet, evoking an Italian bakery, where it is filled with warm pastry and caramelised sugar. 

Bottled by Living Souls, wihtout chill-filtration or artificial colouring. 

Nose

Opens with apple compote, torta al limone and vanilla fudge.

Palate

Caramelised apple, toffee and cannoli filled with rich vanilla cream.

Finish

Sweet, full bodied and true to this Speyside distillery's signature character.

The Craigellachie distillery was built in 1891 with the sole purpose of distilling a light, fruity spirit for blending. Like many others, the distillery has changed ownership a few times throughout its life, but production has been steady since its opening, with only a few short closures. However, the style of whisky produced has changed. Nowadays, Craigellachie is known for its bold flavour with oaky and spicy notes. The distillery released the first official single malt in 2014, but the majority of the liquid is still used for blending.
