Precious Drops
ABV: 50.5% 70 cL
This single malt was distilled at an unnamed distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was aged for 12 years, including a finishing period in Pedro Ximenez Barriques, lending notes of honey, chocolate, nuts, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg, creating a balanced malt.
It was bottled to honour Corporal Wojtek - a Syrian brown bear adopted in 1942 by Polish soldiers during the Second World War. Found as a cub in Iran, he was raised by the 22nd Artillery Supply Company of the Polish II Corps under General Anders.
He became famous during the Battle of Monte Cassino in 1944, where he reportedly helped carry ammunition crates. After the war, he retired to Edinburgh Zoo, living there until 1963. Today, Wojtek remains a symbol of camaraderie and resilience, remembered through statues and memorials across Europe.
Tax included.
